Aces & Eights 100 Hand at your fingertips!

Aces & Eights 100 Hand at your fingertips!

The following is a breakdown of a 100-hand session at Aces & Eights Poker Room in Austin, TX.

This was a $1/$2 No Limit Texas Holdem cash game.

I started the session with $200 and lost the first two hands. On the third hand, I doubled up to $400 with A♣J♥ vs. K♦Q♦ on a flop of Q♣8♥7♦.

From there, I had some good hands and some bad hands, but ultimately finished the session up $27. Here's how it played out:

HAND 1: I lost with J♠8♦ vs. A♥K♦. The board came 7♥2♦3♣9♠ and my opponent hit two pair on the river.

HAND 2: I lost with T♥9♠ vs. 4♣4♦. The board came 2♥7♥A♦5♣ and my opponent hit two pair on the turn.

HAND 3: I won with A♣J♥ vs. K♦Q♦ on a flop of Q♣8♥7♦ to double up to $400.

HAND 4: I won with Q♥J♠ vs. 9♥8♥ on a flop of 3♠T♦2♥ to add to my stack of $400.

HAND 5: I lost with A∞10∞ vs. K♥Q∞ on a board of K♣4∞3∞2∞ (a split pot). My opponent made two pair, kings and deuces, on the river card. And so it went for the next 95 hands or so...with both wins and losses coming in all different combinations of suits and ranks... But then...on Hand #96...I hit big!

I was dealt 6♦6♣ in late position and decided to make a move with it since it was such a strong hand preflop. After all the betting was done, there was only one player left in the hand...me! The board showed 6♦3♥9♦4♥ and I had made three of a kind!

This gave me a nice boost going into the last few hands of the session...

HAND 97: Won with Q♠8♥ vs J VIDE ON A FLOP OF 6 ♥7 ♦ 10 ♥ (two pair, queens and tens) HAND 98: Lost with K ♦ 8 ♥ vs T ♥ 9 ♦ (one pair, kings) HAND 99: Won with A ♦ 5 ♥ vs 4 ♥ 3 ♠ (two pair, aces and fives) HAND 100: Won with A ◻ 10 ◻ vs K ◻ 9 ◻ (three of a kind)

How to play and win at Aces & Eights 100 Hand

If you're looking for a fun and profitable game to play, Aces & Eights is a great option. This variant of poker is played with a regular deck of 52 cards, and can be enjoyed by players of all experience levels. In order to maximize your chances of winning, here are a few tips to keep in mind.

  1. Start by learning the basic rules of the game. Aces & Eights is similar to traditional poker, so if you're familiar with that game you'll be able to pick up this one quickly. The goal is to form the best five-card hand using any combination of hole cards and community cards.

  2. Pay attention to the flop. In Aces & Eights, the flop (the first three community cards) is very important. This is because it's usually possible to tell whether or not you have a good hand based on what's revealed on the flop. If there are several high cards (aces and eights especially), then you're likely in good shape.

  3. Bet accordingly. One of the keys to winning at Aces & Eights is betting aggressively when you have a strong hand, and folding when you don't have much hope of winning. Remember that it's better to take smaller losses than big ones, so don't be afraid to fold if the odds aren't in your favor.

  4. Use your position wisely. In poker, your position relative to other players matters a great deal. If you're sitting in late position (i.e., after most other players have already put in their bets), you'll want to be more aggressive in your betting patterns than if you're sitting in early position.

  5. Stay calm and focused. Poker can be a frustrating game, but it's important not to let emotions get the best of you. If you start making rash decisions based on anger or greed, you're likely to end up losing money instead of winning it. Keep your head clear and make smart choices at the table for optimal results
